PostSubject: Next Generation: The Last    Thu Jun 01, 2017 11:44 pm

Many years had past since the time of the Great Shinobi War. The village of Konohagakure had been restored to its former glory. The land ruled by a new Hokage, Kakashi Hatake. The village had grown and modernized with time. A new generation was born and groomed to be the next great ninja should history repeat itself and war came to Konoha yet again. And now the story begins...

"Wow, Miyu you're really rusty. How long has it been since you threw a kunai knife?" Kohaku said as she watched her best friend throw a kunai at a wooden target barely keeping it in the center ring. Usually, Miyu was a dead shot and ALWAYS hit the bulls eye perfectly. Kohaku and Miyu had friends since since they were little girls in the Academy. They went through a lot together. Eventually when they became Genin they were split into two separate teams, but still they remained best friends and helped each other through training and missions. Both Kohaku and Miyu were adults now. Miyu, a prestigious member of the ANBU Black Ops and Kohaku, soon to be leader and successor of the Shitsui clan and an up and coming Jonin.

Miyu groaned as she really was rusty. She looked back at the target and sighs as she laid on the ground. The sun was shinning brightly and there was a nice breeze going. "It's been a while. The 6th hasn't really had me go on much missions other than a few escorted, but nothing insane." She stated. She looked up at her beautiful best friend with her long blond hair and her chunin outfit. Miyu sighs as she had other things in mind. Kakashi was working Kotestu to the bone and he hasn't come home in a few days. Every once in a while he would stop at the house to grab a change of close, but rarely got a chance to see her.

She looked up at her best friend and took another Kunai knife from her back pouch and quickly threw and after the first one she shot she knew her angle and got the target perfectly in the center. She smiled as she got back up and smirked at her best friend. "You were saying?" She asked.

She thought about what to ask Kohaku, "Hows Shino?" She asked softly. "Gotta good looking guy on your hands now." She said with a teasing smirk. She smiled as she knew her best friend. She looked at her and was happy that her friendship with Kohaku hasn't changed. even after she became an ANBU. She wasn't so busy now since the great war ended. She was actually happy about the piece.

Kohaku watched her silver haired friend take another kunai knife and throw it at the target, this time hitting it right in the center of the bulls eye. "Alright, alright. You aren't as rusty as I thought." She said with a chuckle. She went to pull out a kunai knife to take her turn when Miyu touched on a sore subject.

"Umm, well...he's fine I guess." She said throwing the kunai and missing the target completely. "Damn! I am so rusty." Truth be told, she was just distracted by Miyu's question. This was the first time in a while they were able to get together. Miyu agreed to help train her so she could become a Jonin. With her skill as an ANBU Black Op she was really helpful to Kohaku and taught her the ropes and prepared her for all the tests she had to take.

Miyu looked at her friend. Kohaku was probably one of the best Shuriken and Kunai throwers when they were younger. For her to miss something like that it was not right. She looked back at her friend and walked over to her, "Whats wrong?" She asked her friend.

Miyu was always away on missions, but she knew brief details when her and Kohaku did get together to eat or have tea, but she's didn't really hear her talk too much about Shino. She knew she had a crush, but wasn't sure if anything happened between the two of them. She looked over at her and threw her Kunai again without looking this time and got right on target.

"if you're this rusty you won't make your Jonin.... Come on, again." She stated in a more stern voice, she was concerned for her friend, but also wanted to help her pass. "who else was in your Team?" She asked quickly as she tried to remember but couldn't save her life. She sweatdrop as she felt like a pretty bad friend to forget her best friends teammates.

"Nothing's wrong...I'm just a little distracted that's all." She was distracted alright. After the war was over, things between her and Shino seemed to just diminish. They both were going in different directions. They were trying to figure out their paths as ninjas and didn't really have time for each other. Shino went on to become a Jonin and was always busy while Kohaku continued to follow behind struggling. Between her father hounding her about preparing to become the next clan leader and trying to focus on her studies it was really starting to wear her down, so that is why she asked Miyu for extra help.

"I know...but between this and father constantly on my case it has been hard to concentrate..." She sighed. "I wish I was as naturally talented as you are. Things always came easy to you when we were in the academy."

Miyu looked at her friend and smiled as she took a seat. "Did you bring lunch? Lets take a break." she said as she quickly got out her lunch box and was about to start. "Come on sit!" She said with a happy smile.

She understood how difficult it was for Kohaku. She was not only a clan leader but was also trying so hard to meet so many people expectations. She had a lot on her plate. She looked at her best friend and smiled, "Not a lot of things come easy to me Kohaku... I don't have any special clan justu that was passed down to me. I was a outsider for the longest time and an orphan. I didn't know my family and in the beginning I didn't have that much of friends when we started at the academy. I was just good at a few things, but I was also very distant too. I became an ANBU because it was needed at the time. Hell I don't even get a chance to see my old team anymore. They were placed with a different person." She said as she took her chop sticks and took a bite, "Damn you make the best lunches! I definitely can't cook as well as you do!" She said with a happy smiled.

She gulped down the bite and looked at her friend, "You're stronger than you give yourself credit for.... you wouldn't have become a chunin if that wasn't the case. Jonin is no different, just different and stronger requirements." She stated.

"As for Shino... I'm sure he has his reasoning...." She said softly, "he's been busy, but if given a chance He would liked to catch up with you." She said with a smile. Her bring orange eyes shinning in the sun light.

Kohaku sat down with Miyu and opened her lunch box as well. She handed a pair of chop sticks to Miyu and broke a pair apart for herself. "Yeah I remember. You would always sit in the back of the classroom by yourself and not say a word to anyone. Everyone made fun of you for you weird colored hair and eyes. But you didn't really seem to care that much. One day, I saw you crying all by yourself and I came over to see if you were okay. We got to talking after that and have been friends ever since. Not to mention we really put a hurting on those guys in class that were picking on you." Kohaku chuckled and picked up a small cherry tomato and putting it in her mouth.

She smiled when Miyu praised her and mentioned her good qualities. "Thanks, Miyu. I really do have a lot on my plate, but I have come this far. It is too early for me to consider quitting." She sighed again when Miyu mentioned Shino. "I guess you picked up on that, huh? It just kinda happened. We never were officially a couple or anything. So we kinda just drifted apart. We both became busy with trying to train and become better ninja. Even her surpassed me and is already a Jonin. I haven't even had time to talk to him..."

Miyu looked over at her friend and smiled, "Again, I'm sure he has his reasoning." She stated. She started to eat her lunch a little bit faster as she was starving. It was only like 4 hours ago she ate, but because of her constantly moving around she manages to maintain her figure. She's fill out a lot since when she was younger. After being in the Genin and she took her chunin exams. She was pretty ahead of everyone else. She was only a Chunin for a year before she maxed out and reached the ANBU and started to work under the 5th and 6th Hokage.

She just remember something, "Hey... when is the Exam?" She asked her friend, "Because I think I am suppose to proctor one during there physical exam." She said as she looked at her friend. She's hoping that if she was proctor one of the exams she might be able to watch Kohaku and see where she needs to work on, but even so. She needs to build her confidence.

~~~
Shino and the rest of Team 8 was reporting their recent mission of the Hokage. After there results He started to walk out of the Hokage tower and looked up. He notice that Hinata saw Naruto waiting for her while Kiba and Akamaru went there own ways. Shino stood by himself as he felt as though he was always alone. 'I wonder how she's doing...' he thought to himself. He looked back at the Hokage monument and smiled to himself, "She's probably fine..." He said aloud as he started to walk away towards his own house.
"Maybe...I guess like me, he has to find his own way..." She looked up at the bright sun with a smile. As much as she really cared for Shino, he would probably want her to focus more on her ninja art than him. She said a soft prayer in her heart and made her resolve. She ate her lunch quickly and stood up ready to get back to work.
"The Jonin examination is in a few days, so I still have time to prepare. I am not worried about the written portion. That is easy. As I'm sure you know, the physical examination is the most difficult. Each candidate is assigned two Jonin counterparts and they must beat both in a series of different simulated battles to prove they are worthy of becoming a Jonin. No holds barred. That is what I am most concerned about. What if it is with someone I know? It could be you...I can't fight against my best friend with the intent to kill. I just can't." She said honestly, her eyes trembling slightly.
Miyu looked at her as she noticed her friend trembling. "Kohaku.... thats what being a Jonin is... can you image what it would be like to be an ANBU. The black Ops could care less if one of your team mates die... The mission always comes first... and if you had to fight me. Well than that is that. You can't run from it. And if you're going to be a leader of the clan, You have to do this." She said with a stern look.
She eased on her expression and smiled at her. She patted her shoulders and smiled, "You'll be fine." She said. "Now do a curve on your shuriken and through it at the other tree." She smiled
~~~~

Shino was walking towards his way home and noticed on the training grounds close by fighting. He blinked behind his sunglasses and pulled his hood away when he saw a Silver haired Kunoichi and a Sunshine Blood hair kunoichi.

He smiled as he started to head in that direction to give them his greetings, "Long time no see." He said as he looked over at the two training on the shuriken polls.

~~~~
Miyu blinked as she turned and noticed. 'speak of the devil' she thought as she smiled. "Hey Shino~!" She said with a smile as she waved him over. "Kohaku~ Look it's Shino!" She smiled.
Shino walked over and waved to both young ladies. "It has been a while... Miyu... how are you?" He asked kindly.
Miyu looked and smiled, "Great~! you?" She asked
Shino nodded, "Alright..." He stated as he looked over at Kohaku and notice just how much beautiful she got. He blushed a bit, but quickly covered it up. "Kohaku... It's nice to see you again." He stated.
Miyu poked her shoulder trying to get her attention.
"I know! I know! Father tells me the same thing all the time. He says I am too trusting and I am too soft hearted to be a ninja. That I need to toughen up and stop being so meek and small." In her minds eye, she could see her father towering over her and wagging his finger in her face while yelling at her. "Geez, I am practically and adult now and he still scolds me like a child."She did as Miyu instructed and took two shuriken out and held them between her fingers. She threw them toward a nearby tree. She hit the target, but her execution was still weak and not precise with a lack of correct curvature. "Damn it!" She yelled gritting her teeth. "I am really rusty." Being so busy with high class techniques really made her forget about a few of the basics.
She prepared another set of shuriken and prepared to throw them when she heard a familiar voice coming closer. Her heart leaped into her throat when she turned and saw Shino approaching. It had been a long time since she last saw him. He was the tallest of all their age group and easily towered over herself and Miyu. He wore his Jonin vest under his gray hooded jacket. It was strange being able to see more of his face. Kohaku tried to pretend not to notice him, but Miyu wasn't going to have that. She turned to face Shino when he greeted her.
"Hi Shino...it's great to see you too. I hope you are doing well." She looked him up and down adjusting to his new look. "I see you are a Jonin now. Congratulations." She said with a genuine smile.
Miyu smiled as she noticed over at Shino and smiled, "Yeah congrats." She stated.
Shino nodded his thanks and looked over at Miyu and than at Kohaku, "Are you practicing your Jonin exams...?" He asked her.
Miyu smiled, "Yep! And I'm helping her!" She stated with a Glee.
Shino sweat dropped as he laughed a bit ans smirked, "Yeah... I can see that... I'm actually going to be a Proctor for this exam because a lot of the other Jonins weren't able to list for it. They've even asked a few ANBU to do this. This might be the toughest exam out of any of them.. I hope you do well..." He stated. He was nervous around the blond. She was very similar and reminded him of Hinata, but at the same time. She was her owe person. " But I'm sure you'll do great.... Because-" He was cut off as Miyu slowly started to shove him off.
"Okay Shino! We love and care for you deeply... but I really need to get this girl rolling..." She stated with a nervous laugh.
Shino was used to being interrupted, but he still felt ignored. He gave one last look to Kohaku, "Hope to see you again soon." He stated.
Miyu sighed as she looked over at Kohaku. "well you heard him.... Get training" She instructed.
Kohaku smiled when Shino wished her well on the exam. But her heart immediately dropped when he said that he would be a proctor for the exam and that it would probably be one of the toughest yet. Suddenly, her mind began to race and she began to doubt herself. What if she failed? What if she had to fight her best friend and the man she had strong feelings for? Miyu picked up on her sudden doubt and did her best to hurry Shino away. Kohaku didn't want him to go really. She wanted to get the chance to talk to him again since it had been so long. She missed his company and his blunt honesty. She waved to him as he left and tried to hide her pale blush behind her bangs.
"Thanks for that Miyu, but you didn't have to be so rude." She crossed her arms and glared at her best friend. Miyu was always very no nonsense and stern when it came to training. That is why Kohaku wanted her to help her with her training for the Jonin exams. A little structure would be good for her.
"Ok ok geez! You are a real pain in the ass some times you know that?!" She stuck her tongue out at Miyu and took her stance to get back to her training.
~!~
They stayed at the training grounds well into the evening until it was too dark to see anymore. Kohaku was lying on her back covered in dirt and sweat from working so hard. "Come on Miyu...let's call it a day already. I ran out of chakra over an hour ago!" She said between breaths.
Miyu was just as breathing hard as she wiped the sweat from her brow. She sighs as she grinned, "Fine fine... I'll see you back here bright and early. tomorrow morning. You only have a few days." She said, "Tomorrow were doing hand to hand combat..." She stated as she smiled as she patted her shoulders, "You'll be fine." She smiled.
Miyu saw how warn out she was with Kohaku and smiled. She knew her best friend will make Jonin, but Kohaku was so laxed and laid back and can sometimes be in her own world. If she wasn't serious it would probably hurt her. But Miyu knew better, "Alright lets head home." She smiled. "I'll catch you tomorrow morning!" She said waving good by to her friend.
As she was walking down the street she started to feel sad. She's now 19 years and she was technically in a relationship.... if you wanted to call it that. She sighs as she noticed everyone was getting ready to head home from there jobs. She sighs as she looked at the Hokage Monument and saw the 6th's face. "Oh Kakashi-sama... why do you have to keep him all the time..."
She started to head to hers and Kotetsu's small apartment as she sighs and unlock the door, "I'm home..." She whispered to no one. Her depression got worse as she walked into an empty apartment.
"So much for being in a Relationship..." She thought as she sighs and started to prep her dinner.... even though she could hardly cook.
~~~~~~

Shino wasn't far from the training grounds when he noticed Kohaku getting herself Situated, " Miss Shitsui" He called as he walked over to her, "Do you have a minute?" He asked out of the bluntly.

Kohaku gave Miyu a big hug and thanked her for all her help. She saw Miyu off with a wave goodbye until she was out of sight. Kohaku sat down on the ground and tried to muster up some chakra to the palm of her hand. She struggled and clenched her muscles making her hands shake and nothing. She growled and fell back on the grass. "Ugh! Yep I'm out of chakra! I really need to work on making it last a lot longer..." She laid there for a few minutes staring up at the many stars in the sky. The training ground was the only place left in Konoha where you could see the stars at their full potential. She sighed and stood up to get ready to leave when she heard someone call out to her.

"Yes?" She turned around and was surprised to see Shino again. "Oh, Shino...yes I'm not in a hurry. What's going on?"

Shino looked over at Kohaku and smiled, "I just wanted to see if maybe we can grab some Ramen or something... your choice. It seems as though we both been very busy and haven't had a chance to talk." he said as he walked up to her.

Shino pulled his hood away as he left his sunglasses one. He rarely ever took them off even after a while, "How are you?" He asked her kindly. Usually he was always nervous when talking to girls, but since being around Kurenai-sensei and Hinata, he's gotten better. He looked at her and noticed just how much more beautiful she was, "How is your clan doing?" he asked as he waiting for her responce on the dinner outing. He wasn't really sure what to make of it... Earlier he noticed Kiba acting strange with a girl. ANd naruto is more nervous around Hinata, but he feels.... calm around Kohaku.

~~~~~
Miyu started to make an instance pack a Ramen when she heard the door open to their apartment. She was still in high alert mode and grabbed her Kunai with safe keeping. She hid behind a wall. She was so used to being at home on her owe, it was rare with her "Boyfriend" came home. But she was still waiting for her instant ramen to cook.
Kohaku was prepared to answer him, but she was stunned when he pulled off his hood so easily in front of her. He rarely ever did that for as long as she had known him. He had changed so much in such a short time. He now wore a bandanna over his head with the leaf symbol metal plate on the front. She was so mesmerized that she quickly forgot to answer.
"Oh...I'm doing well. My family is fine as well..." She still felt a little overwhelmed and awkward around him especially seeing how much he has changed. "And sure I'd love to! It's been so long since we have really talked. How about we go sit along the stone fence near the academy like we did when we were kids and just talk?" She said with a sweet smile.
~!~
Kotetsu finally got the okay to come home for a short while from Lord Kakashi. He was a war general now and that kept him away from home most of the time. With the Great Shinobi War finally ending, he was still busy trying to clean things up and train new up and coming soldiers. He walked through the door quietly not wanting to disturb Miyu if she was already asleep. As much as he wanted to see her, he knew she was probably just as tired as he was. He opened the door, and the smell of instant Ramen hit his nose. He shook his head and chuckled, "Still a horrible cook I see." He walked past the long dark hallway that lead to the bedrooms to get to the kitchen and see if Miyu was there.
Shino smiled as he nodded "sure" He stated as he started to head in that direction. But he could hear Kohaku's stomach grumbling. "Hungry much?" He asked with a teasing smirk. "I would thinking you'd be out of your Chakara with Miyu training you as she did..." He said, "Only because she's an ANBU and can be a bit Ruthless..." he stated as he waited for her. He tried to slow his long strides as he didn't realize just how short she was. "Ramen than the stone wall okay?" He asked as he started heading toward Ichiraku.
~~~~

Miyu was shocked as she lowered her Kunai. She looked at him and always thought he was just a copy clone or something, "Sh-shut up...." she blushed as she felt a little more relaxed when she sensed that it really was him, "Did the Hokage let you out early...?" She asked as she started to cook up the noodles of her ramen as she looked at him. He had bags under his eyes, He looked drained. During the great war the village has not settled down. ".... what time do you have to get back?" She asked as she turned herself away from him. She didn't expect him to stay long, but she was happy nonetheless that she got to see him.

Kohaku's face turned bright red when her stomach growled very obviously loud. She covered her stomach and tried to laugh it off. "Sure...I guess with all the hard work I was putting into training I didn't realize how hungry I really was." She grabbed her bag and followed behind Shino trying to get a hold of herself. She just kept embarrassing herself over and over again. She looked at his profile from behind and blushed softly. She could see his dark brown hair sticking out from beneath his bandanna and his long neck beneath that. She never noticed how manly he actually looked considering he kept himself hidden most of the time. Once she calmed herself down a bit, she walked alongside him. "You have changed so much since I last saw you. I can't believe you are a Jonin now..." She said.

~!~

Kotetsu chuckled at her angry response. She was always so stubborn and headstrong. Cooking was one of the very few things she actually totally sucked at. He put his bag down and came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. "That is the kind of greeting I get after being away for so long...?" He whispered into her ear teasing her. He then stood up and let her go. "Lord Hokage let me come home early to get some rest. I will be home for a few days to help with the Jonin and Chunin exams." He went over to the fridge and got himself a bottle of water and started to chug it down.

Shino smiled at her, "It has been a while... I believe that last time we really got a chance to talk was right around the time when you were getting ready for your Chunin exams." He stated. They got to Ichiraku's and he took a seat at the bar, "Please... sit. You can order whatever you want." He said Kindly. "The only person I don't let order what he wants is either Naruto or Kiba... Those guys will eat out of my pockets if they could." he stated.

He smiled as he watched her reaction and her smile. It brought nothing but calm and peace. He was happy the war was over, but now that Team 8 wasn't really a team anymore, he wasn't sure what to do. Most of his goal was to hope that team 8 would just stay that way, but he knew that wouldn't happen, "Do have an idea for the Jonin?" He asked. "I'm sorry if it seems like I intimidated you with it..." He said as he looked down. when he placed his order, he order a hot bowl of Miso chashu. "Do you want to split an order of dumplings?" he asked her kindly.
~~~~~
Miyu narrowed her eyes as she tensed when she felt him wrap his arms around her. "Sorry...." She said as she turned and looked at him with the fakes smile she could muster, "Welcome home Kotestu-Sensai. Do you want me to prep you a bath... Or dinner... or M-E~" She said with a Wink at the end of her sentence. She knew she was faking, but she wanted to see his reaction. She missed him terribly, but at the same time She was a little upset that he just worked himself to death all the time. "Wait.... you're actually going to be home for a while....?" She asked still in shock.
Just as she was going to say something else. She heard the water over boil on the stove. "Oh shit!!!" She cried out and turned the stove off and looked at her now mess she had to clean up. "Oh... I wish I knew how to cook like Kohaku..." She whined a little bit, but blushed as she looked in the corner of her eyes to see him relax. She smiled genuinely and for some reason had a hard time taking her eyes off him.
Kohaku nodded, "Yes, you wished me good luck before my exam began. I just smiled and hugged you then ran off to take my place for the written exam." Once they were at Ichiraku,
Ayame and her father greeted them and waited for them to decide on their order. She laughed when Shino made the comment about Naturo and Kiba always trying to weasel out of paying for their Ramen and leaving Shino to pay for it all. "Yes, they got me once or twice. They always said I was the rich kid in the group and had the extra money to spare." She sat down and decided to have the same thing as Shino. "Make that two please." She said to Ayame. "Yes, I'd love to share some." She smiled at him again. She was so happy to have this time with him again.
~!~
Kotetsu sat down on a bar stool and was watching Miyu absolutely fail at making a simple bowl of Ramen. He laughed so hard nearly falling off the stool. Once he stopped laughing at her, he got up off the stool and got a clean towel to help clean up the mess. "You could be, if you set your mind to it." He took the pot of burnt noodles and set it in the sink. "And yes, I will be home for a while. At least a few weeks. Since things have calmed down in the village I am not needed as much as I was during the war. So it looks like you and I will be working together to help proctor the exams." He smiled and stroked the top of her head as if she were still his little student. "It's so good to be home again with you..."
Shino smiled, "I remember... If i remember correctly... Miyu was away on a missions during that time..." He stated, "What with her being an ANBU." He said.
He looked as she started and got the dumplings. He took one and noticed that she was also about to grab the same one, "Oh... sorry... got ahead." he said as he blushed a little bit. Coughing to cover it up.
Ayame noticed the two and smiled. "Awe... so cute!!! When did you guys become a couple?" She asked curiously.
Shino blushed even more, but did his best to remain cool, "Uhh..." but was failing miserably. He wasn't good with words. "W-were just really good friends." He said, but the moment he said those words, something in his heart cracked. 'i.... oh man...' he thought realizing what he was feeling.
Since they were genin. Shino always had a soft spot for Kohaku. She was always so nice and kind, but as they started to drift apart, he felt a little broken, and confused. But he ignored it for a while. If anything he had his insect friends. He looked over at her as he noticed Kohaku blushed at the statement too.
~~~~

Miyu looked at him as she huffed a bit. She felt happy. 'i'm glad he will be home... but if there is no war.... w-what will become of us shinobi.' She shook the thoughts out of her head as she looked back over at him, "you're proctoring the exam too?" She helped clean up the kitchen, but heard her stomach grumbling.... She blushed as she tried to cover her stomach with her arms as she looked at him, "Also... stop treating me like a kid...." She said with narrowied eyes, 'i thought I was more than that...' she thought again.

"Yeah, I hate that she had to leave. She really wanted to stay and help any way she could..." Kohaku lowered her head and sighed thinking back to that time when Miyu had left for that mission. She was gone a very long time. So long in fact that Kohaku was worried that she wouldn't come back at all. Ayame set the dumplings down in front of them to eat on while they waited for their Ramen. Kohaku broke her chop sticks and immediately went for the closest dumpling. She looked up when she saw Shino going for the same one. He blushed and a little and tried to hide it.
She giggled and took the dumpling for herself. "Hehe, thanks." She took it into her mouth and savored the taste. Unfortunately, it was short lived when Ayame made a comment that nearly made her choke on it. Her face grew bright red as she found it hard to swallow from the huge lump that formed in her throat.

"Y-yeah...I have known Shino for a long time. We are just friends..." She said. Her heart stung also. While she knew they were indeed just friends, she wished they could be something more. They both looked at each other at the same time. Both obviously embarrassed. They just looked at each other for a few seconds until their Ramen was placed in front of them. "Here you go! Eat up!" Ayame said with a wink. Thankful for the sudden distraction, Kohaku collected some noodles on her chop sticks and slurped them down. "Mmm, delicious. Thank you, Ayame!"

Kohaku thought about what Shino had told her about the Jonin exams earlier that day. Not only was Miyu going to be a proctor, but Shino as well. That made her very nervous. "Hey, Shino? Can I ask you something?" She said looking down at her bowl.

~!~

Kotetsu smiled when he heard her stomach growl. "Go sit at the bar. I'll make us something to eat." He leaned down and kissed her forehead lovingly. He gathered some ingredients to make a quick stew. "Lord Hokage wants to meet with both of us tomorrow morning. It is special information regarding the Jonin examination."

Shino got his ramen in front of him and begane to eat as well, "Thank you for the meal." He stated to Ayame and her father.

Ayame just looked at them and smiled as she started to help her father. When he noticed Kohaku looking nervouse and turned his attention to her, "What it is...?" He asked with seriousness.

He noticed her actions and saw how nervous she seemed, but with him being a guy he was wondering if it was the comment about them being "just friends" "I-is something wrong...?" He asked

~~~~
Miyu blinked as she looked at him. She had a light blush from when he kissed her forhead. She sighs as she didn't want to go. "I can't tomorrow... I promised Kohaku I'd help her train in the morning for her Jonin exams." She stated, "Can't I just come in the afternoon?" She asked him.
Miyu looked over at him. Kotetsu became the War general, but if there was no war... what would he be. Her stomach was still growling when she looked at him. She poutedf, "Hungry..." She called. "She looked as she sighs, "Hey... can I ask you something...?" She asked with a nervous blush. "W-what are we?" She asked curiously, "am I just a kid that you look after or... no?" She asked nervously.
She held her chop sticks firmly in her hand. "I'm just..." She started then looked over at him. "...What if you and I end up on opposing sides during the exam? I can't fight you with the intent to kill you...I just...what should I do if it comes down to that?" She looked at him seriously.
~!~
Kotetsu put his knife down and walked over to the bar. He leaned down on it and looked at her, "You are many things to me. You are my student, my pupil, my friend..." He paused for a moment.
"But most importantly...you are my love. And that will never change no matter how many roles you play in my life." He leaned over the bar and kissed her sweetly. "I may treat you like a child some times, but that is just to get on your nerves." He smiled teasing her again.
